Excited to share that I’m wrapping up my second month as a Senior Experience Designer at UMGC! Transitioning back to HigherEd from EdTech has been invigorating and inspiring- my heart is full and I’m feeling ready to build digital solutions that foster connection & engagement with learners at the center of all my decisions! #learnercentricity #humancentereddesignLeaving Udemy was tough as I loved my peers, but I’m grateful for the supportive network that helped me through this transition. If you're job hunting, I'm here to help—let's connect! I cannot express how lovely this community has been with referrals and conversation and I’m ready to pay it forward 💗Also, did I mention I am working with the most amazing leader- no really, I have been wanting to work with her since my WGU days! Thank you Elizabeth Aguilar-Barnett for building me up and inspiring confidence in my abilities!

🎉 Thrilled to share that I have officially achieved my Professional ScrumMaster™ Certification (PSM I)! 🚀 A special shoutout to Udemy for fostering an environment that values continuous learning and growth. Udemy's ULearn stipend was instrumental in enabling me to pursue this certification. It was an opportunity to deepen my understanding and enhance my skills in building and iterating on high-performing teams. Shout out to Jacqueline Law for being my classmate on this adventure and to Sam Falco for his LOVELY and very thorough instruction! https://lnkd.in/eZFnZ-fP#ProfessionalScrumMaster #PSM1 #ScrumMaster #Agile #ContinuousLearning #ProfessionalDevelopment #ProudMoment #Udemy

I always appreciate Brandon Busteed’s perspective on the learning ecosystem. This is so striking as evidence, yet no surprise that the gap between higher Ed and industry needs bridging more than ever. This is where learning companies like Udemy can really help pave that bridge. Focusing on emerging and surging skills to upskill/reskill learners to meet industry demands, without the bureaucracy of the institutions.College used to be seen as the major milestone, yet today with the emergence of learning at your fingertips— skilling is in and instantaneous. Learning is fun again!!!Learners learn for economic security. Whether you are an L&D dept, higher Ed, or a learning company— we can all agree that professional skills are earned to get the job.Once higher Ed figures this out and moves from a faculty focus to a learner and more skills focus— we will get there. We all need to be working together change the landscape of education in the US.

Taking pause to recognize the people around you who make the impossible possible is so necessary for thriving through work. It should happen publicly, privately, and regularly. We need to be sharing the amazing work we see being done— the effort and sweat equity we see from those who love the work they do. It’s the circle of delight. We see their work, we see their passion, we see most importantly their effort. And we take that delight and recognize it— allowing not only their work to be seen— but them. They feel seen. And it delights others! This month, I felt more seen than ever. I was awarded for my efforts in Content Services. I love giving praise and recognition, I rarely like to receive it. But this time it feels different. It hits different.Because this is not an award for me. It’s for Helen Senos, Nicholas Lines, Stefanie Bottomley, MBA, Aimee Paddon. It’s for my friends and confidants that allow me to be my full authentic self: Matt Capizzi Chris Simpson . And it’s most importantly for my leader, whom without I would be a hot mess, Rosanne B..I am successful, capable, and connected the work I love because of the incredible culture at Udemy Business.Thank you for letting me be seen. Love this work. Love this team.

This is a great POV that describes how organizations can thrive through solid strategy and implementation prescribed by our Learning Architecture team at Udemy Business.Forbes recently described an architect so aptly, “Architects are professionals trained in the art and science of building design. They develop the concepts for structures and turn those concepts into images and plans, which eventually may become homes, office buildings and other facilities.”Now read again, but change all the infrastructure references to learning programs! — — —When the big bad wolf comes to blow your house down, or technology forces upskilling or reskilling to stay competitive—- what kind of learning strategy do you want to have?I have the pleasure of working closely with Dr. Anita Sagar because while she’s the architect, I get to dabble in being the carpenter, electrician, and other technicians that give you the home of your dreams— or learning program that meets both the needs of your organization and learners!!I take pride in empathically listening and placing myself in the seat of the learner to prescribe custom and curated Udemy Business courses and lectures to enhance learning outcomes.🤍🤍🤍 #business #learning #technology #learningculture
