Cook Library provides limited large-format printing at no cost for current TU students. We can support a fixed number of poster prints per day and require advance notice of up to one week. You’ll be notified that your print is ready by email and can come pick it up at the Ask Us Desk anytime during regular staffed hours. To keep this service free, we are unable to process reprints upon pick up. It’s up to you to make sure the uploaded file has been reviewed and requires no edits. We suggest having a friend proofread it for you before you send!
How to request large format printing at Cook Library
- Email your print inquiry to accademiccommons@towson.edu
- You’ll be asked to upload your completed image in pdf or ppt format
- You’ll be notified via email when your poster is available for pick up
- Bring your email to the Ask Us Desk to retrieve your item!
OTHER OPTIONS FOR PRINTING
Cook Library can provide a limited number of large format prints per week.
If no appointment times are available through the Library, contact Design + Graphic Services (UU 166) for fee-based options.
Student organizations and other non-academic printing needs use Design + Graphic Services for a competitive fee or FedEx/Kinkos, etc.
Faculty should contact the Faculty Academic Center of Excellence at Towson (FACET) for large format printing info.
What you need to know before printing.

- New to creating scholarly posters? This guide will help you start writing and designing.
- Poster printing is limited to two posters per person per week.
- No mounting or lamination services are available.
- The paper is for academic posters, not high-resolution "art-quality" prints.
Get Started Using a Template
- Download a template.
Click on the desired type of template in the chart below, and save it to your computer. - Replace the template text and images with your own content.
Unless otherwise noted, these items do not reflect adherence to any particular presentation standards. To clear these objects from your poster: open the template file, use Ctrl-A to select all, press Delete. When saving your file, please begin the filename with your NetID (e.g., dwashi6-ECON321poster). - Visit SCS in CK-35 to print your poster.
Prior to coming to the library, export your finished PowerPoint or Publisher file to PDF format and use View > Rulers to verify that the dimensions are correct to be sure you didn't inadvertently scale your poster down to letter size.
