What can I buy with my Anthem OTC card online? ›

Your OTC benefit can be used to shop for both brand-name and generic health and wellness products like vitamins, pain relievers, cold medicine, first aid supplies, and more.

When you're finished shopping, select “credit” at check out, then swipe your card. You will not need a PIN to use your card. Your available OTC spending allowance will apply to the eligible items and deduct from your total purchase.

The Anthem Benefits Prepaid Card

You can use the card to easily access the allowances that come with your plan. It can help cover dental, vision, and hearing services and other expenses like groceries, over-the-counter items, utility bills, and more.

Anthem Medicare Advantage members now have more choices when using their Grocery benefit allowance. Starting today, Medicare Advantage members can now shop in Dollar General for their Grocery benefits.

Use your $25 a month to get items like baby wipes, allergy products, pain relief medicine and more. You can also get everyday items like laundry detergent, soap and toothbrushes.

Approved items include fruits & vegetables, meats, dairy & more.

OTC items are not eligible for reimbursem*nt if they are normally used for general health, are not used to treat a medical condition (e.g. toothpaste, mouthwash, lotion, shampoo) or are cosmetic in nature (e.g. teeth whitening products, wrinkle reducers). See additional examples in the OTC Chart.

OTC card eligible items often include health and wellness products, such as cough and cold remedies, vitamins, medical equipment and more. If an item is eligible, the cost of the item is subtracted from an OTC card's available balance at checkout.

You can use your card to buy things like: Food and fresh groceries, like meat, vegetables, and canned goods. Everyday items, like toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant and shaving cream. Household goods, like laundry detergent, paper towels and tissues.

You may qualify for an Anthem Benefits Prepaid Card when you sign up for one of Anthem's Medicare Advantage plans. These plans combine Medicare Parts A, B, and D and include extras like the Benefits Prepaid Card. Think of your flex card as a perk for having an Anthem Medicare Advantage plan.

For some Medicaid and Medicare Advantage plans, the OTC card can be swiped as a form of payment or used on phone and online orders. Just use it like any prepaid card, with no PIN (personal identification number) or signature required.

You can create a Walmart.com account and add your OTC Network card to your wallet or enter your OTC Network card as a payment method during check-out.
